Here I can pretty much eat all the rolls because they're fried. Think taco truck x Japanese restaurant. Best of both worlds. We enjoyed both the steak roll and Jessica roll. They're ironing out their menu, so everything was on an iPad. All rolls were $20/each. Portions were filling. Rolls came with a side of crab, carrots, green onions, and peppers. They make their own soy sauce mix, which isn't as salty as regular soy sauce. A great addition. Give yourself some time since they have to cook all the rolls. Late hours so you can make it to a show or game at Coliseum/Arena. ”

“ It's great to have a Sinaloan style deep-fried sushi place open up in East Oakland! This place just opened up on July 13, 2023. Jesus and Luis (El Sushero) were both nice, and I liked their food. No menu yet, but you can at minimum choose between chicken, shrimp, and crab rolls. You can also ask for a California roll. I personally preferred the shrimp and crab rolls. I think each plate was $20. El Sushero really seems to care about the presentation for each plate, and they eve up looking nice. It's a small restaurant, but there are several tables set up for dine-in. The parking lot is small, so be prepared for that. You can use tap to pay, Venmo, Zelle, and cash. It's definitely worth supporting this new business! ”
